2022 Houston HBCU Alumni Association Virtual Leadership Summit

Houston HBCU Alumni Association HHBCUAA is excited to host our 2022 HBCU Leadership Summit. Our theme for the summit is “FIT For Leadership (Focused, Intentional, and Transformative Leadership).” The goal of the summit is to help attendees enhance their skill set as members; thereby, enhancing their skill set as leaders covering the following topics: Recruit, Motivate and Retain Members, HBCU Local Alumni Chapter Development, Media and Marketing Management, Leadership Self Care and Panel Discussion with other HBCU Presidents. We are honored to have Dr. Melanie Wilson-Lawson as our Leadership Summit keynote speaker.  The event will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. This year, our “SUMMIT” will be held virtually. It is free and open to all HBCU members, friends, and supporters of Historically Black Colleges and Universities especially your leadership team.

The Houston HBCU Alumni Association, Inc. (HHBCUAA) Scholarship will be awarded to graduating high school seniors in the Greater Houston Area planning to attend one of our member schools. Review the criteria below to confirm eligibility.

Scholarship Criteria
• Graduating high school senior in the Greater Houston Area
• Will enroll in one of our member schools during the 2021-22 school year (see below for member schools)
• Minimum High School GPA of 2.8
• Display extra-curricular & community involvement
• Complete an essay entitled: “Who Has Been Most Influential in Your Life and Why?”
