STANDING & OTHER TEAMS

Budget & Finance Team:
The Budget & Finance Team shall develop the annual budget and review the fiscal records annually to ensure sound fiscal procedures.


Courtesy Team:
The Courtesy Team shall be responsible for informing the Association regarding awards, births, illnesses, deaths, and other personal concerns among the membership and send appropriate recognitions.


Grants Team:
The Grants Team shall research and apply for grants to support the programs of the Association.


Media Relations Team:
The Media Relations Team shall be responsible for all matters of publicity.


Membership Team:
The Membership Team shall be charged with the duties of hosting activities designed to increase membership. The Team will also aid unorganized alumni groups in forming strong units and alert existing organized groups of potential members.

Scholarship Team:
The Scholarship Team shall develop procedures and guidelines for selecting
scholarship recipients and programs designed to enrich our scholarship program.

At Ease Thursday:
The At Ease Thursday Team shall ensure that each At Ease Thursday fosters
conversation between “Like-Minded” Black Professionals while they Relax,
Connect, and Converse in a Networking environment remembering that At Ease Thursday is our Exclusive, Private, Members Only sector of Houston HBCU AlumniAssociation HHBCUAA.

Family Fest Team:
The Family Fest Team shall create an annual Family Fest designed to bring
awareness of our HBCUs in a fun family environment.

HBCU Reunion Weekend Team:
The HBCU Reunion Weekend Team shall create an annual HBCU Reunion Weekend designed to Promote/Bring Awareness to our HBCUs in a Networking environment including a day community involvement and a day of fellowship.

Leadership Team:
The Leadership Team shall create an annual session designed to add value to the
leadership abilities of our chapters, members, and participants.
